WILMA DE GROOT

Dr. de Groot joined the Canadian Air Force in 1987 as part of the Medical Officer Training Program while attending medical school at Queen's University in Kingston.  The crash occurred during her posting to 8 Wing Trenton where she completed her 3 year committment to the Armed Forces. In 1994 she retired from the military and continues in private practice in a Family Health Team in Toronto, Ontario

MONTY MONTGOMERY

Monty joined the military in July, 1977. He served for 16 years in the Communicator Research trade, serving at CFS Masset, CFS Inuvik, (almost) 4 tours at CFS Alert and finished his military career with the Communications Security Establishment, where he was hired after the crash. Suffering a head injury in the crash, Monty was delirious for most of the time at the crash site and suffered severe frostbite, losing all his fingers and half his toes. Three toes were transfered to his left hand to give him "pinch". Monty spent the rest of his career as a vocal advocate for Disability (and Human) Rights within the Canadian Government. Monty retired in late 2019 and is enjoying life to the fullest.

MARC TREMBLAY

I joined the Royal Canadian Air Force ( RCAF) Octobre 30 1965. My intention at the time was to sign for 3 years, learn english and get out. 30 years later after being in places like CFB Bagotville, CFB Lahr
(great posting) CFB Borden, CFS Masset, CFB Cold Lake and CFB Ottawa. In Ottawa I had the pleasure to visit CFS Alert many times, except for my last visit  30 Octobre 1991,  retired from the military on 30 Octobre 1995 .
I am enjoying retirement life, as they say there are no life like it
